New Flexibility of List Production

SATPAC 3 is only able to produce CVCCVC lists. With SATPAC 4 you have the option of producing VCCV, CVCCV or VCCVC lists. Additionally, SATPAC 3 only allows the target sound in one position, while SATPAC 4 allows the target sound to be repeated either adjacent to the target or in alternate locations. Here is an example of a student who is developing the fricative sound /s/ in a VCCV context.

Notice how the other fricative sounds have been eliminated from the lists.
